The Standard VI Integration Programme - Climate

Climate became the BIG idea this year, for the Integration Programme. Ideas spawned in the classroom, each student having their own unique ideas, suggestions and inputs.

Creativity spread in the English class. Each student wrote poems related to climate. Brainstorming sessions in science and maths classes led to models being built, board games being invented, and graph reading done daily. Charts were made for Hindi, Marathi, PE and French stalls. History had students working with computers for a power point presentation.

For stage performances, the children took the parents on a journey to the different climatic zones through a song and dance presentation. Through the rendering of the ragas, the children captured the diverse moods of climate. The French songs were the highlight of the programme. Yoga techniques to conquer extremes of climate were demonstrated through a play. The finale performance was a tableau of dances from Bengal, Kerala, Kashmir and Maharashtra.

Another exciting and adventurous experience in learning came to an end.
