Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) was launched in 2003 and for Mrs. Nita M. Ambani, the Founder and Chairperson, it was the fruition of a dream. A dream to bring world-class educational opportunities to Mumbai.  A dream to develop great leaders who exude excellence. It was a tribute to a great visionary Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, her father-in-law, whose hallowed name the School bears.

For one who made her  professional   debut as a  school teacher,  education  has  always  been Mrs. Ambani’s foremost passion. DAIS is a bold pioneering initiative in international education in India. Founding the School has been an extraordinary journey, from an idea to design, planning and execution in record time. Mrs. Ambani often reflects on how passionately she has been engaged with this initiative, “I have seen this School grow as a mother watches her child. Every step that this School has taken has given me delight. Every step has given me enormous satisfaction and contentment.”
