Easter Day Celebrations in School

There are Christians in almost every part of the world. They all celebrate Easter, but in many different ways.

"The Easter story is a sad story because Jesus was killed. But the story has a very happy ending, because Jesus came back to life and visited his friends and followers once more. He did not die at all, but went back up to Heaven to be with God, his father."

In many countries, Easter Monday is a national holiday. We too celebrated Easter in our school on Monday, as school was closed on Easter Sunday. All students came into school dressed in colourful clothes. The day began with the Upper KG children singing 'Easter Bunny came to Town' to the whole school.

Thereafter different classes celebrated in different ways. The highlight was the visit by the Easter bunnies to different classes in the school.
