FROM THE STUDENTS......
“The round square junior regional conference in Dubai was a great learning experience for me. We met and interacted with many students our age from all over India and many other countries too. This conference broadened my perspective on many topics such as women empowerment and service. We got to share our ideas and understand the other students’ viewpoints on these topics too. This exchange of ideas made me think about a lot of sides to a topic that I had never thought about. During this five day conference I have made some really good friends I will always stay in touch with. I had a lot of fun during this conference and have returned back with a broader mindset”
Ayushi Gupta, 8C
“The Round Square Junior Regional Conference was truly an exhilarating, fun filled yet educational experience. From this conference, I have learnt the importance of making new friends and gelling with different people who are usually out of your comfort zone. Throughout the conference the delegates were made to interact with different children, and believe it or not it was great fun. However that was not the main motive of our visit. to add to that they had planned speakers to come and enlighten us on various world issues. The first speaker Ms Aida Al Busaidy shed light on women empowerment in the middle east and the second speaker Mr Brian Wilkie gave a speech on ‘How one could make a difference!’ revolving around charity and social service in a unique way. Both the speakers were truly inspiring and we really enjoyed the discussions that followed each speech because there was a lot we had to say, comment or suggest.
Summing it up The Round Square Trip was truly a once in a life time event where we learnt a lot in a fun way.”
Abhishek Dalal, 8B
“I think our trip was a great learning experience since it gave me a lot of exposure in terms of interacting with many different people. The best part was that we were put in real life situations, which just made me more confident. It was a very different feeling and nonetheless worth a repeat. Whether it was the safaris, the shopping, the games, the cultural shows or the sightseeing – everything was packed with adventure. The theme itself was mosaic, which relates a lot to our own fun experience”
Saloni Atal, 9B
