Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, founded in 2003, prepares students for the IGCSE, the IB Diploma and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education examinations. Current enrolment is around 1050, with 186 taking the IB Diploma in Classes XI and XII. The school has around 150 teachers, with most of them having experience at leading schools in India and international schools worldwide.
The first seven batches of our IBDP students have achieved remarkable results in their examinations, with scores well above the international average. The Class of 2011 earned an average Diploma score of 37.6 (the highest possible individual score in the Diploma being 45), out of a possible maximum individual score of 45, whereas the world average is 29.59 points. 2 students gained the perfect score of 45 points, a score that was only achieved by 103 students worldwide. 30 students achieved 40 points or above, constituting 33% of our candidates whereas worldwide 5.62% of students achieved this score.
The first six batches of our ICSE and IGCSE students have also achieved outstanding results. In the ICSE examinations of 2011, the School's average score was 92.41%; our topper has scored 96.60% and 83% of our students have scored 90% or above. In the IGCSE examinations held in 2011, 87.4% of all grades achieved were A* and A grades, whereas the India average is 38.6% and the world average is 38.9%. E ach year our students have topped the world and topped India in several subjects. For five years in a row, one of our students has been adjudged the Best IGCSE Student in India by CIE. DAIS is accredited by The Hague International Model United Nations, holds Global Membership of Round Square and Regular Membership of the Council of International Schools and Associate Membership of NESA. The school has student exchange programmes with L’Ermitage School Paris and under the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Programme of the U.S. Government. In tune with its ethos that children must grow with a sense of care and concern for society and the environment, the School encourages students to engage in a wide range of service initiatives for the benefit of the local community. |
